I have been with Eckburg & Bates since 1988. It is the only job that I have had since graduating from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA. I have been a Rockford resident since 1972. My wife, Diane, and I have two daughters, Morgan and Bronwyn.

I have been an agent with Eckburg & Bates since 1994. My wife, Lisa, and I are lifelong area residents with three very busy children. We are actively involved in our church and enjoy sand volleyball in the summer and coaching our kids' teams.
After graduating from the University of Illinois in 1992, I taught high school chemistry, biology and physics for two years before coming to work here for the family business. While working here, I have continued my insurance education through The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research. I have been a Certified Insurance Counselor since 2002 and continue to update my education every year with the CIC seminars.
We are an independent agency. Being independent allows us to "shop around" for our clients to ensure that they maintain competitive rates. We also reward our current clients for referring new clients to us. It's just one more way we say "thank you" for doing business with us at Eckburg & Bates.

I have been a lifelong area resident. I graduated from Hononegah High School in 1999 and then finished my graduate degree in 2003 at Illinois State University. I was married in 2006 and my wife, Jami, and I live in Rockford. We love it!

 I started with Eckburg & Bates in 2006 after spending four years with Met Life as a life insurance consultant.
Other than a brief stint in Colorado, I have lived in the Rockford area since birth.
We have a special agency and I know that you would be happy switching your business to us. A giant flood hit our area on Labor Day, 2006, and destroyed several hundred vehicles. While some companies were settling claims from as far away as Boston, our carriers were writing checks on the spot. No one ever expects a claim like that to happen, but when it does, you're thankful that you have an excellent insurance company. Companies can advertise on television all they want, but I know first hand how a good insurance company works. I know that you'll be happy being insured with us.
